Gas Station

IOTA Gas Station

Important: Self-Hosted Component

The IOTA Gas Station is a self-hosted building block that allows application providers to sponsor IOTA gas fees of their customers. You deploy, run, and tune your own instance, deciding which transactions you cover for your users, platform, or ecosystem. The IOTA Foundation does not run a network-wide or app-specific Gas Station service. We may launch short-lived instances for community campaigns, demos, or testing, but all production or commercial sponsorship sits with the application provider. Need help getting started? We’re happy to guide you through the setup.

The IOTA Gas Station is a containerized component designed to simplify user onboarding and enhance engagement by enabling businesses and developers to sponsor transaction fees on the IOTA network. Many users hesitate to interact with Web3 applications due to the complexity of wallets and gas fees. The Gas Station eliminates this friction by allowing seamless interactions without requiring users to acquire tokens. Developers can configure it to cover transaction costs, ensuring a smooth and accessible experience. With features like access control, usage metrics, and customizable limits, it provides a flexible solution for enterprises, dApp builders, and Web3 projects looking to optimize gas management.
